Recreating Heritage investigates the reconfiguration of ancient Greek vases through the medium of woodcuts, approaching them not merely as historical artifacts but as objects with their own ontological agency. In dialogue with Object Oriented Ontology (Graham Harman), the project foregrounds the tension between real objects and their sensual qualities, proposing that heritage can be reimagined beyond anthropocentric frameworks. By mobilizing narrative and imagination, the vases are repositioned as autonomous actants that mediate relations between memory, materiality, and temporality, thereby reframing the continuum between antiquity and the present.
